Freeman Pastoral Company, premium grassfed livestock producer.

Freeman Pastoral Company is a family-owned Australian beef and lamb producer built on generations of farming dedication.

Freeman Pastoral Company is a family-owned farming business that relocated to Queensland in 1975, specialising in Hereford Cattle and Dorper Sheep.

With two Queensland farms, Meeleebee Downs and Ballandean Station, we have spent decades improving our genetics, enhancing our environments, and refining our practices to ensure our product delivers consistent high quality and flavour.

Our farm teams are made up of a diverse group of men and women from all walks of life, who share our commitment to the ecological improvement of our land, and the sustainable and ethical production of cattle and sheep.

Sustainable livestock production is more than just a business to us, it’s our passion.

Our Queensland farms produce Hereford Base Cattle and Dorper Sheep for commercial beef and lamb meat.

At Freeman Pastoral Company we have dedicated more than 45 years to the careful development of our closed herd of Hereford cattle. We also run a parallel cross breeding programs using Santa Gertrudis and Angus sires.

Our stringent selection process for bulls and cows has resulted in a herd we are incredibly proud of, with our cows having excellent frame, temperament and fertility.

Along with our growing Dorper Sheep herd, the animals are gently raised and pasture fed at our picturesque farms in Meeleebee Downs, north-east of Roma, and Ballandean, south of Stanthorpe.
