Meeleebee Downs is Freeman Pastoral Company’s main property for cattle breeding and fattening operations. It is located in prime cattle country, approximately 100km north-east of Roma, in the renowned Brigalow Belt of Queensland.

Situated between Roma, Taroom and Wallumbilla, Meeleebee Downs is home to classic rural Australian landscapes and a pleasant, subtropical climate.

The area attracts a younger generation of stockhandlers and station hands, with many social events taking place at the nearby community centre, along with events in Roma including race meets, rugby and camp drafts.

Ballandean Station

Ballandean Station, in the heart of the Granite Belt region.

Freeman Pastoral Company’s Ballandean Station enjoys a mild South East Queensland climate and nutrient rich pastures. Located 20km south of Stanthorpe, Ballandean Station is primarily used for growing and fattening our young cattle, in addition to breeding and fattening Dorper Sheep for the lamb market.

Surrounded by national park, farmlands, fruit orchards, cellar doors and vineyards, Ballandean Station is proudly part of the rich history of the Granite Belt region, producing quality beef and lamb for the Australian and international markets.

Ballandean Station enjoys connection with the local Stanthorpe and surrounding communities, with events and hobby groups including dog trials, motorbike riding, hiking, camp drafting and sports.
